Community Physicians of Westchester is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our growing concierge internal medicine practice.
This is a unique opportunity to work alongside a team of highly respected physicians who are passionate about delivering exceptional, personalized care. We are a new and growing practice looking for team members who are positive, adaptable, and excited to help build something special from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and room patients with warmth and professionalism
- Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, medications, and allergies
- Assist physicians during patient visits and procedures
- Perform venipuncture, specimen collection, EKGs, and other clinical duties as appropriate
- Manage prescription refill requests and prior authorizations
- Coordinate referrals, testing, and follow-up care
- Communicate with patients regarding results, appointments, and care plans
- Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record (Athenahealth experience preferred)
- Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared for patient care
- Provide an exceptional patient experience through outstanding customer service and attention to detail
- Assist with additional clinical and administrative responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant certification preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred
- Strong venipuncture and clinical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Comfortable with technology and electronic medical records
- Ability to multitask while maintaining a high level of professionalism and compassion
- Reliable, flexible, and team-oriented
