Green Fox Companies seeks a Controller to lead financial operations for our pioneering agribusiness and manufacturing facility in Kimball, MN.
The Controller will drive accurate reporting, cost control, internal controls, and strategic insights to support growth in our business.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Planning
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closes; deliver GAAP-compliant statements and management reports.
- Develop budgets, forecasts, and plant-level financial reviews; create dashboards for gross margin, labor efficiency, scrap/rework KPIs.
- Coordinate annual audits with external auditors and tax advisors.
Cost Accounting & Manufacturing
- Manage standard costing, overhead rates, and cost roll-ups; analyze PPV by commodity/supplier, yield/scrap, and variances.
- Oversee WIP valuation, inventory reconciliations, cycle counts, physical inventory, and E&O reserves; support make/buy and CapEx decisions with ROI/NPV analysis.
- Partner with operations to drive cost improvements.
Accounting Operations & Payroll
- Direct GL, AP, AR, and end-to-end payroll for hourly/salaried staff (timekeeping, OT, bonuses, garnishments).
- Ensure FLSA, IRS, state tax compliance; handle W-2/1099 reporting and HR coordination on benefits/leaves.
- Optimize cash flow, AR collections, AP terms, and working capital (DSO/DPO/inventory).
Compliance & Internal Controls
- Build and enforce P2P, O2C, inventory, payroll, and fixed asset processes; maintain US GAAP policies and segregation of duties.
- Manage sales/use tax, permits, licenses, and insurance.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Own ERP (Business Central), ADP timekeeping/payroll; enhance data quality, close speed, and automation.
Leadership
- Coach and develop finance team; partner cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, HR.
- Provide financial analysis for business decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance (required); CPA or CMA (preferred).
- 5-10 years progressive experience in manufacturing finance.
- Business Central ERP expertise; strong manufacturing cost accounting.
- Analytical mindset with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
