The retail pharmacy experience is broken. Nearly every pharmacy is a nightmare to wait in lines, understand the prescription process, get the correct copay information, and coordinate with doctors — and worst of all, they all fail to focus on the customer as family. At Banner Drug, we’re doing something different. We’re building a pharmacy experience for the patient as an individual, not just for another number. We’re creating transformative, simple prescription processing and pickup processes that help even the busiest of people take care of their health. We are looking for some great staff who love helping our customers. You should enjoy making complicated situations simple and painless and have a passion for our mission in changing the pharmacy experience. This position is located in Statesville, NC

You’ll be responsible for providing unprecedented customer service for Banner Drug. You’ll help us interact with customers on the phone and in person, create and edit patient documentation such as address and contact information, check in the daily order, as well as be involved some cutting edge patient care models we’ve designed. You’ll work scheduled shifts with the expectation of being flexible to be available as needed. To apply, previous pharmacy experience is highly recommended, but not required. We want great people, we can train the rest!

This is a full time position, we just want to hire the right person! We have a significant business built, so be sure that you’re ready and able to deal with that kind of daily load – you’ll get all the love and help you need along the way!

The successful candidate:

-can efficiently and accurately assist patients with their pharmacy check out needs

-enjoys brightening our patients’ day through engaging phone calls and in-store greetings/service.

-has the ability to WOW a patient through conversation, personalized attention, and timely service.

-is a caring and empathic individual who will listen to patient concerns and relay information to the pharmacy team.

-is a quick learner who asks questions and enjoys participating in new projects.

-is detailed-oriented, open to learning our computer system, and operates our cash register.

-shares organizational and housekeeping responsibilities with other pharmacy team members.

-is able to work in the mornings as well as evenings throughout the week and a few weekends(flexible schedule offered!).

-is efficient in completing tasks such as checking in the order

-uses time wisely and is always open to learn a new way of doing things

Experience and Skills Needed

· 18 (+) years old

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

· Helpful if previous retail pharmacy experience, preferably 1 to 2 years of experience, however anyone is welcome to apply

· Helpful if past computer software and office equipment experience

  • Exceptional communication abilities to provide clear and empathetic customer support
  • Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills both verbally and written; must love people!
  • Requires basic computer knowledge
  • Must be able to efficiently manage multiple projects and tasks at the same time.
