A company in Burbank is looking for a Bookkeeper to join the team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial records, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and maintaining compliance with financial regulations. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain Financial Records: Record and organize all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Reconciliation: Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accurate alignment between accounting records and bank statements.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor Accounts: Ensure timely invoicing and payment processing, track outstanding accounts, and follow up on overdue invoices.
- Expense Tracking: Record and categorize all business expenses, ensuring proper documentation for audits and tax purposes.
- Compliance: Stay updated on financial regulations and ensure the company's compliance with applicable laws and mandates.
- Payroll Assistance: Assist with processing payroll, tax withholdings, and employee reimbursements.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping with a focus on accuracy and detail.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other relevant accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Demonstrated expertise in performing bank reconciliations.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
