ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Operate a press or other department equipment correctly in a safe manner. Ability to learn and run different jobs associated with press operation. Responsible for following quality system controls (Omni QMS). Maintain attendance as required by company policy. Work all assigned overtime. Maintain housekeeping in his/her work area. Must adhere to all OMNI Manufacturing, Inc. policies, procedures, and instructions.
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
Must be able to read and understand blue prints. Basic math skills required. Knowledge of manufacturing environment, measuring devices, safety requirements, and quality requirements.
MENTAL & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to remain stationary. Must be able to operate the manual controls on the press and move the product within the press. Must be able to perform repetitive tasks and remain alert. Must be able to do any combination of lifting, carrying, pulling or pushing up to 50lbs. Must be able to twist and bend and be able to step or climb up and down from press platforms
WORK AREA & WORKING CONDITIONS:
Factory may be hot in summer and cold in the winter. May operate same press several days in a row, or may operate a variety of presses in one day. May be greasy and loud. Ear and eye protection, and steel-toed shoes required. Gloves, sleeves, and face shields may be required on some jobs
