Position Overview
Title: Certified Nursing Assistant
Location: Brooklyn, NY 11203
Schedule: 8x5 per week + EOW /All Shifts Available
Duration: 13 weeks with a high possibility of extension
Pay Range: $20 - $24/Hour
Job Summary:
The Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care and supports nursing staff in ensuring patient comfort, safety, and well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Patients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and feeding.
- Measure and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Transfer and transport patients safely using proper techniques or equipment (e.g., Hoyer lift, wheelchair, stretcher).
- Collect and label specimens, empty bedpans, and maintain patient hygiene.
- Assist with range-of-motion exercises and mobility as directed by nursing staff.
- Maintain clean and organized patient areas, ensuring a safe environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Follow hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and safety standards.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current New York State Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- Ability to lift, move, and assist patients safely.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, but not required.
