Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential support to K-12 students with developmental disabilities in a school setting located in Tacoma, WA. The role involves collaborating closely with the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team to support student goals and deliver specialized speech, language, and communication services that promote classroom participation and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of students with speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP objectives.
- Work collaboratively with educators and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
- Provide direct intervention to students both individually and in small groups.
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports as required.
Qualifications:
- Valid Washington State SLP license.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
- ESA (Educational Staff Associate) Certification.
- Experience working with K-12 student populations preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
