We are looking for a Patient Care Coordinator to join our client's team in Chandler, Arizona, on a contract basis. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering exceptional customer service while managing patient registration processes. This position involves ensuring accuracy in patient information, verifying insurance eligibility, and addressing financial responsibilities to support a positive patient experience.
This role is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with working hours from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
Responsibilities:
• Facilitate smooth patient registration by accurately collecting and entering demographic data.
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility to ensure appropriate reimbursement for services.
• Assess and communicate patient financial responsibilities, including determining liabilities and collecting payments.
• Provide guidance to patients regarding hospital policies, financial obligations, and their rights and responsibilities.
• Refer patients to financial counseling or registration specialists for further assistance when necessary.
• Address patient inquiries and concerns to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Follow organizational policies and procedures for managing patient financial liabilities.
• Serve as a key resource to patients and families by explaining registration processes and financial options.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient onboarding and registration.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation to support compliance and operational efficiency.
HS diploma or GED
• Proven experience in customer service-focused roles, preferably within healthcare or patient registration.
• Strong knowledge of insurance policies, benefits, and eligibility processes.
• Familiarity with hospital procedures and patient registration systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and families, addressing concerns and providing clear information.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to ensure accuracy in data collection and documentation.
• Proficiency in handling financial counseling and determining patient liabilities.
• Knowledge of patient rights and responsibilities, including TRICARE and NIS policies.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teams while maintaining professionalism in high-pressure situations.
