Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available for a dedicated educator to support students from 1st through 8th grade in an onsite school setting. This contract position begins immediately and continues through June 17, 2026, offering a consistent schedule Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 4 PM, totaling 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to the unique needs of students with moderate disabilities.
Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with educational standards and student IEP goals.
Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to create inclusive learning environments.
Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies to maximize educational outcomes.
Maintain compliance with all district policies, including completing required fingerprinting and CORI background checks.

Qualifications:

Massachusetts Moderate Disabilities teaching license valid for grades PreK8.
Proven experience working with students in grades 1-8 with special education needs.
Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and differentiated instruction methods.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Commitment to fostering a supportive, positive learning atmosphere.

Location:This role is based onsite at a school campus in Lowell, MA, requiring daily in-person attendance.

Clearances:Candidates must complete fingerprinting and CORI checks as part of the hiring process.
