About Reserve Health

Reserve Health is a dynamic, multi-service medical practice delivering high-quality, compliant, and patient-centered care across diverse and complex environments. Our footprint spans four distinct service lines:

  • Correctional Healthcare
  • Occupational Health (serving first responders)
  • Outpatient Mental Health
  • Primary Care

Position Overview

We are seeking a high-energy, autonomous Director of Clinical Operations to serve as our primary frontline clinical leader. This is a field-based role designed for a seasoned clinician and executive who thrives on local leadership, site visits, and direct oversight.

Operating in close coordination with executive leadership, you will ensure clinical excellence, patient safety, and strict regulatory compliance across all four of our distinct service lines. We are looking for a true leader who hits the ground runningsomeone who already possesses strong healthcare leadership instincts and requires zero training on how to lead people, protocols, or clinical compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Field Leadership & Operations

  • Maintain a dominant, visible presence in the field across all clinic environments (Primary Care, Occupational, Mental Health, and Correctional facilities).
  • Conduct routine on-site clinical audits, chart reviews, and direct observation of clinical workflows.
  • Provide real-time coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to on-site clinical staff.

Data-Driven Performance & Resource Maximization

  • Own the Numbers: Actively interpret operational and clinical data to drive performance. We are looking for someone who moves the dial and implements active solutions, rather than letting data reports sit idle in an inbox.
  • Resource Maximization: Drive clinical productivity and operational efficiency across all sites, ensuring staffing and clinical resources are fully maximized without sacrificing quality of care.
  • Retention & Turnover Management: Monitor team morale and workload distribution; proactively identify flight risks and implement engagement strategies to reduce staff turnover.

Continuous Compliance & Clinical Standards

  • Self-Directed Mastery: Take sole responsibility for staying abreast of changing regulatory environments, evolving clinical standards of care, and relevant industry best practices. (Executive leadership will not be teaching you the fundamentals; you must be an investigative, self-directed learner.
  • Ensure absolute compliance with OSHA, NCCHC (National Commission on Correctional Health Care), state, and federal healthcare regulations across all four service lines.
  • Lead clinical incident investigations, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and swiftly implement corrective action plans.

Talent, Onboarding & Workforce Performance

  • Lead the clinical performance of providers support staff.
  • Own the clinical onboarding process and execute competency-based training so new hires are integrated seamlessly.

What Were Looking For

  • An Unwrapped, Self-Directed Leader: You do not need to be taught how to lead people, handle conflict, or hold a team accountable. You are an investigative learner who independently stays ahead of clinical trends.
  • An Action-Oriented Metric Mover: You look at a spreadsheet or clinical dashboard and immediately build an action plan to fix gaps, optimize productivity, and improve results.
  • Adaptable Operational Grit: You can pivot effortlessly from the unique security protocols of a correctional facility to the corporate compliance needs of an occupational first-responder clinic.

Qualifications

  • Education: Masters degree in Nursing, PA Studies, Healthcare Administration, or a related clinical field.
  • Licensure: Active, unrestricted clinical license in North Carolina (RN, NP, or PA) is highly preferred to facilitate clinical supervision and chart reviews.
  • Experience: 5+ years of healthcare experience, with at least 23 years in a progressive leadership role (e.g., Clinical Manager, Regional Supervisor, or Director).
  • Data & Compliance Literacy: Proven track record of leading metrics (productivity, utilization, or retention) and independently researching/applying state and federal regulations.
  • Travel: Must possess a valid drivers license and the ability to travel frequently to clinics for on-site supervision.
