Role: Senior Business Analyst (ETL, Oil & Gas)
Location: Austin, TX (Prefer Only Texas Consultants)
Duration: 10+ Months

Primary Skills: BA, COTS, SQL, ETL, Data Warehouse and Oil & Gas Industry
Summary:
The client is involved in a multi- year modernization of its application systems and requires multiple business analysts to support this effort. This includes:
1. Modernization of legacy application
2. Implementation of COTS products
3. Implementation of an enterprise data warehouse
4. Ongoing implementation of Salesforce
The RRC oversees the oil and gas industry for the State of Texas which includes establishment of regulations, permitting, enforcement and reporting. In addition to the requirements stated on the attached statement of work, we will be seeking individuals who have experience implementing solutions similar to those referenced above, as well as experience in oil and gas industry, and state government. Our preferred candidate will also have demonstrated experience on long term projects and is located in Texas.
Minimum (Required):
10+ years of Business analysis experience with a focus on data modeling and data flow for software development projects; including the preparation of project related documentation, data model and data flow documentation.
10+ years of Strong interpersonal, collaborative, analytical, written/verbal/ presentation communication skills in English (specifically technical writing); and well versed with MS Office suite of products and prototyping/screen mock-up tools such as Visio and SnagIt.
10+ years of Hands-on requirements elicitation: client management and technical documentation including traceability, use cases, prototyping, and data modeling
10+ years of Facilitating analysis of business and functional requirements and design of technology specifications, working with business / functional personnel.
10+ years of Experience working with ETL/ELT teams and artifacts (SSIS, ADF, and/or Informatica): reading/writing S2T specs, documenting transformations, validating loads.
10+ years of Strong analysis experience and expertise in assessing Production Support issues related to system and/or data bridges to determine Root Cause and document items needed for data or system correction.
10+ years of Developing/maintaining an understanding of key business drivers/impacts, assisting clients with identifying and solving business-related system and data errors.
10+ years of Facilitating analysis of business and functional requirements and design of technology specifications, working with business / functional personnel.
10+ years of Defining functional design and systems specifications; preparing/ reviewing/ delivering completed packages.
10+ years of Advanced SQL proficiency (SQL Server and/or Oracle) for profiling, validation, and reconciliation; fluency with ERD/relational modeling, normalization, keys, indexing.
10+ years of Participating in and providing guidance to Business and Functional Units in developing and completing user acceptance testing, training, and implementation-related activities.
4+ years of Strong technical writing skills and proficiency with Visio/diagramming; experience maintaining auditable artifacts in SharePoint/Confluence/Azure DevOps.
4+ years of Experience SQL, including MS SQL Server; SSIS and .Net development environments; Azure DevOps; Oracle; and analysis of data bridges.
Preferred (Optional):
Familiarity with mainframe environments, including hierarchical databases and their limitations; relational databases; Informatica, MuleSoft, COBOL, Java, Salesforce, Snowflake and GoAnywhere.
Experience with process improvement strategies and methodologies.
Proven ability to lead change and design more efficient processes.
Experience in Oil and Gas industry as well as general compliance and enforcement related projects as a Business Analyst with a focus on data, databases, and data bridges.
Proven ability to work compatibly within multifaceted teams; resolve conflict; and deal with challenging situations.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
