Summary

Location: Princeton, Hamilton, Lawrence Township, NJ
Schedule: Part-Time, Flexible Hours (Monday–Friday as needed)
Compensation: $150-$175 per day (requires NJ Sub Cert) or $16-$19 per hour

Duties

As a Substitute Preschool Teacher, you’ll step into classrooms to provide nurturing, consistent care and learning when our regular teachers are away. You’ll help children feel safe, happy, and engaged while supporting our center’s daily routines.
Your Day Might Include:

• Greeting children and helping with morning routines
• Supporting teachers and staff with daily classroom activities
• Leading story time, art, or play-based learning moments
• Maintaining a warm, positive environment where every child feels valued
• Communicating effectively with team members and following established classroom plans

Requirements

You’re a Great Fit If You:

• Have a high school diploma and experience working with young children (or a passion to start!)
• Are dependable, caring, and flexible
• Enjoy jumping into new classrooms and connecting quickly with children and staff

We are also looking for candidates with:

• ParaPro Certification or 48-60 college credits
• NJ Substitute Teacher Certificate, bachelor’s degree or NJ Standard Teaching Certification.
