Are you detail-oriented, methodical, and passionate about building projects that meet the highest standards? A growing federal contractor is seeking a Construction Quality Control Manager (CQCM) to oversee interior federal construction projects in the Washington, D.C. metro area.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on structure, compliance, and accountability — and who takes pride in ensuring every aspect of construction meets rigorous federal requirements.
This role is located in DC. Consideration for a travel 1099 candidate may be given and salary will be adjusted accordingly. Local candidates are preferred.
What You’ll Do

Oversee and perform daily quality control responsibilities across multiple federal construction projects.

Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up QC meetings to align all stakeholders on standards of care.

Review contracts, subcontracts, plans, and specifications to ensure project procedures meet requirements.

Maintain the project submittal log and other QC documentation.

Review shop drawings and submittals for conformance with project specifications.

Chair and document weekly QC meetings with clear written minutes.

Produce daily QC reports and identify/resolve non-conformances in a timely manner.

Verify and document material compliance, storage, and acceptability for use on projects.

Coordinate and document the testing and commissioning of building systems.

Perform QC testing and inspections in line with contract requirements and industry best practices.
What You Bring
-
5–10 years of construction quality control experience on interior federal projects.

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers “Construction Quality Management for Contractors” Certification (required).

U.S. citizenship (DoD clearance strongly preferred).

Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques.

Ability to interpret contracts, specs, and plans with a critical eye for detail.

Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Bonus Points For:

OSHA or other safety certifications.

Proven track record managing QC on projects with general contractors.

Experience coordinating testing, commissioning, and close-out documentation.
The Details

Location: Washington, D.C. metro area (onsite federal projects).

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday with overtime as needed.
