This position focuses on delivering thorough patient care by utilizing the nursing process, safeguarding patient rights and confidentiality, and collaborating with various departments. The Registered Nurse will uphold their licensure and certifications while engaging in physically demanding tasks during night shifts. This role highlights the importance of professionalism, accountability, and teamwork within a healthcare environment.

The Registered Nurse will employ the nursing process to ensure effective patient care. They will be professionally accountable for the care provided to their assigned patients and will assess the overall quality of care delivered by other caregivers. Coordination of patient care with other departments is essential, as is the commitment to maintaining patient rights and confidentiality. Position Details:Qualifications:

  • Education: Must have graduated from an accredited nursing program (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
  • Licensure: Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a valid RN license in the state of employment or compact licensure, adhering to all state board of nursing regulations.
  • Experience: Relevant experience in nursing is preferred.
  • Certifications:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or completion of the course within 30 days of hire.
    • Additional certifications may be required based on the specific unit, including but not limited to:
      • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
      • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
      • ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
      • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
      • CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurse)
      • OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
      • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
      • PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
      • S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support)
      • C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
      • Other unit-specific certifications as necessary.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to regularly push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Prolonged standing and walking are required throughout each shift.
  • Capability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to fulfill job responsibilities.
