University Home Care Inc is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide exceptional care to patients in Farmington Hills and the surrounding areas. This role involves delivering personalized therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients’ daily living skills and overall quality of life. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient-centered care and committed to promoting independence through targeted treatment plans.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ functional abilities and needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to enhance patients' motor, sensory, and cognitive skills.
- Monitor patient progress and update care plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and family members.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and assistive devices.
- Document all patient interactions, evaluations, and progress in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Provide home-based therapy in Farmington Hills and surrounding communities as assigned.
Requirements
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Michigan.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Previous experience in home health or a related setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
- Reliable transportation to travel to patient homes in Farmington Hills and nearby areas.
- CPR certification is a plus.
