Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Snow Plow Driver for the winter season. This is a seasonal, on-call role activated during snow events. Drivers are responsible for safely operating plow trucks and related equipment to clear and treat properties during winter weather conditions.
Work availability is dependent on snowfall and weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate snow plows, salt spreaders, and related equipment
- Clear snow and ice from commercial and residential properties
- Apply salt and de-icing materials as directed
- Inspect completed areas to ensure thorough clearing
- Perform equipment inspections before and after shifts
- Complete basic job documentation and communicate with supervisors
- Follow all company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of professional snow plowing experience required
- Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record
- Reliable transportation to reach assigned routes
- Ability to operate equipment safely and independently
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding outdoor work
- Availability for on-call snow events, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Compensation & Schedule
- Up to $35.00 per hour, depending on experience and equipment operation
- Weekly pay
- Overtime paid in accordance with state and federal law when applicable
- Seasonal, on-call scheduling based on winter weather
Work Environment
- Outdoor work in cold, snowy, and icy conditions
- Extended shifts during heavy snow events
