Health Information Management Operations Supervisor – Hybrid/Remote

Location - Philadelphia, PA

We are seeking an experienced HIM Operations Supervisor for a long-term hybrid contract opportunity with Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. This role is primarily remote with occasional onsite support or mandatory meetings as needed.

Job Details:

• Contract Length: 13 Weeks (Potential Extension)

• Schedule: Monday–Friday | 5x8 Days

• Shift Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours/Week

• Start Date: ASAP

• Work Type: Hybrid / Mostly Remote

• No COVID vaccination required

Responsibilities:

• Supervise HIM operations related to patient identity, chart correction, medical record integrity, release of information, and scanning

• Lead and support HIM staff while ensuring productivity and quality standards are met

• Handle patient merges, overlays, and chart correction cases

• Coordinate workflow and collaborate with departments for timely issue resolution

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Cures Act, and organizational policies

• Assist with scheduling, timecards, reporting, and staff performance evaluations

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of HIM experience

• Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience

• Strong Epic proficiency required

• RHIT or RHIA certification required

• Microsoft Office proficiency required

• Experience with HIPAA Privacy Rules and Cures Act preferred

• OnBase experience preferred

• Strong communication and team leadership skills

Education:

• Associate degree in Healthcare, IT, Business, or related field required

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree preferred
