Join the Future of Electric Mobility as an Electrical Engineering Technician I
Are you passionate about electrical systems, embedded hardware, and working on cutting-edge technology? Do you want to be part of a fast-growing company that is transforming aerospace and transportation through smart, safe, and certifiable energy storage solutions? Electric Power Systems, Inc. (EPS) is looking for a talented and motivated Electrical Engineering Technician I to join our team in beautiful North Logan, Utah.
At EPS, we don't just build batteries-we power the electric renaissance of transportation. Our mission is to enable the future of mobility through innovative Energy Storage Systems designed for aerospace and transportation applications. As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to grow your skills, work with forward-thinking professionals, and contribute to a clean energy future.
As an Electrical Engineering Technician, you will be on the front lines of new product development and testing. You'll support our engineering team in building, testing, and validating embedded systems, circuit boards, wiring harnesses, and more. You'll help bring ideas to life by assembling prototype systems and using state-of-the-art tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, and JTAG programmers to verify functionality and troubleshoot issues. Your work will directly support the development of the intelligent and reliable systems that power electric aircraft, vehicles, and beyond.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, building hardware, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. You'll be working closely with electrical engineers, software developers, mechanical designers, and manufacturing personnel to ensure that every component performs to spec and meets our quality and safety standards.
To succeed in this role, you should have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and a strong attention to detail. You'll need to be comfortable working with basic hand tools, test equipment, and computers. Solid verbal and written communication skills are a must, as you'll be documenting test results, wiring diagrams, and engineering reports. If you have experience with PCB layout, Altium libraries, or programming microcontrollers, even better-but not required. We'll provide training and support to help you grow into the role.
EPS is a collaborative, mission-driven company where every employee has a voice and a chance to make an impact. We're looking for someone who can work independently, but who also thrives as part of a cross-functional team. This is a great opportunity for someone starting their career in electrical engineering or electronics technology who wants to learn by doing and grow with a company at the forefront of electric innovation.
What you'll do: You'll assemble and test prototype embedded systems, including PCBs and wiring harnesses. You'll assist with board-level testing, hardware validation, and debugging of electrical systems using test equipment. You'll program microcontrollers, maintain lab equipment, and help document results and procedures. You'll also ensure compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards.
This is a full-time, on-site position in North Logan, Utah. While much of the work will be at a desk or workbench, occasional lifting of items up to 15 pounds is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is expected, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines will help you thrive.
If you're ready to launch your career in a high-impact industry and want to work on meaningful, mission-driven projects, apply now to join the team at Electric Power Systems, Inc. Help us build the smarter, safer, and more sustainable transportation systems of tomorrow.
