This opportunity is for two Clinical Infusion Pharmacists specializing in home infusion services, based in the Seattle, WA area, with a location in Tukwila. These positions start as contract-to-hire, beginning with a 13-week temporary assignment. Candidates should be ready to start as soon as possible.
The site supports approximately 1,300 patients, including 800 specialty patients, managing 350-400 prescriptions daily, with over 100 compounded medications. Pharmacists will utilize the CPR+ system, transitioning to CareTend by September, and use EPIC for charting.
Schedule options include:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, no weekends
- Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, no weekends
A structured two-week standard training program is provided, followed by 3-4 months of clinical training to ensure comprehensive role preparation.
Key responsibilities:
- Review and verify medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and regulatory compliance
- Provide clinical oversight for infusion therapies, including specialty medications, biologics, antimicrobials, TPN, and compounded sterile preparations
- Assess and monitor patient-specific therapy plans to optimize outcomes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams on medication management and therapy recommendations
- Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies
Qualifications include:
- Active Washington State Pharmacist license
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in home infusion
- Strong clinical background with experience in inpatient, IV therapy, TPN, biologics, compounding, and home infusion
- Experience in outpatient infusion settings is acceptable, but retail pharmacy candidates will not be considered
- Specialty pharmacy experience, particularly with rare diseases or complex patients, is highly desirable
- Residency in the Seattle, WA area or willingness to relocate locally
