Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A per diem Special Education Teacher opportunity is available for the upcoming school year in a K-12 educational setting serving students with special needs. This role offers flexibility with no guaranteed hours per week, responding to the needs of the district on an as-needed basis from Monday to Friday.

- End Date: June 26, 2026
Position Details:
- Per diem schedule, with variable hours depending on student needs
- Serving special education students within a K-12 school environment
- Supporting individualized education plans and providing tailored instruction
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with state guidelines
- Adapt instructional methods and materials to meet diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster student success
- Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback
- Maintain accurate records and compliance documentation
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State Special Education Teacher Certification (please provide a PDF copy with your application)
- Experience working with K-12 students in a special education setting
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexibly within a dynamic school environment
