Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Practice Coordinator in Litigation Practices to support attorneys and timekeepers in a fast-paced, collaborative law firm environment. About the Role
The Practice Coordinator serves as a trusted partner to attorneys, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across scheduling, client matters, billing, and practice initiatives. You will play a key role in keeping legal workflows efficient and ensuring exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage attorney calendars, meetings, deadlines, and travel arrangements
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and internal teams
- Handle matter administration including conflicts checks, engagement letters, audits, and secure data transfers
- Maintain accurate client and matter data using systems like Outlook and Salesforce
- Draft, edit, and finalize legal and administrative documents
- Support billing processes, time entry, invoicing, budgets, and client reporting
- Coordinate practice projects, client events, meetings, and presentations
- Collaborate with billing, marketing, IT, and other departments
- Assist with litigation support including filings, trial preparation, and case documentation
- Anticipate attorney needs and proactively manage priorities
About You
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred (business, finance, or related field)
- 3+ years of experience supporting attorneys in a law firm or professional services environment
- Strong understanding of legal procedures, practice areas, and law firm operations
- Experience managing complex scheduling, legal documents, and administrative workflows
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, DocuSign, and legal billing systems (Aderant / 3E preferred)
