Position Summary

The McIntyre Company, a Metal Decking subcontractor, is seeking applications for a full-time Project Manager. The Project Manager’s objective is the successful management of each project with the goal of delivering every project on time, within scope and budget. The Project Manager will be responsible for monitoring cost, reviewing project changes, maintaining schedule, and communicating directly with the customer to complete a successful project. You will be working with support team within your department that will help you obtain these goals for each job.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analyze projects to determine scope as it relates to metal decking and associated work.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and Installation on priorities to effectively bring project within budget and on schedule.
  • Review, and provide "Quality Control" on shop drawings.

Effectively analyze projects to:

  • Estimate overruns and/or under-runs and omissions related to the Job Cost.
  • Verify job readiness and coordinate installation of materials with field superintendent.
  • Initiate and respond to daily correspondence, customers, and suppliers.
  • Review and respond to schedules for both dates and durations.
  • Development of a project schedule for field use containing man hours/phasing.
  • Provide and asses cost analysis for potential Value Engineering opportunities as it relates to our scope of work.
  • Project month billing of labor and material with input from purchasing and field superintendent.
  • Monitor the progress of projects via the Project Management System i.e. correspondence, job cost reports, progress billings, and field reports.
  • Quantify, price and process change order proposals and seeing them through until final approval.
  • Review RFI received from customers as is pertains to our work. Price accordingly.
  • Read, understand and follow all contract documents provided by the customer.

Maintain a good working relationship with:

  • Suppliers and Contractors
  • Company personnel
  • Make all decisions relative to the projects assigned except those specifically reserved by the Vice President as defined on each project.

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)


Experience:

  • Construction Experience: 5 years (Preferred)
  • Project Management: 2 years (Preferred)
