Job DescriptionPosition SummaryThe Payroll Administrator is responsible for executing all payroll operations, including the accurate and timely processing of time and earnings records for salaried, hourly, part-time, and temporary employees. This position ensures compliance with all applicable tax laws and labor regulations, supports payroll reporting needs, and maintains accurate payroll records within the system (e.g., ADP). The role also plays a key part in payroll audits, budgeting support, and employee onboarding/offboarding processes.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll for all employee types
- Accurately record hours worked, bonuses, commissions, deductions, benefits, and applicable taxes
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and labor regulations
- Ensure the data is accurate/validation and ADP files the tax reports (tax documents including 941s, W-2s, and 1099s)
- Maintain and update employee payroll data in ADP
- Respond to payroll-related audits and inquiries
- Research and resolve payroll discrepancies
- Generate routine and ad hoc payroll reports for internal departments, employees, and government agencies
- Support payroll aspects of onboarding and offboarding
- Assist with payroll-related budgeting and forecasting
- Perform other payroll and accounting-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
- 2–3 years of relevant payroll experience
- Working knowledge of ADP payroll system (preferred)
- Understanding of payroll tax laws and labor compliance requirements
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving ability
- High ethical standards and ability to handle confidential information
