Job DescriptionWe are a modern dog grooming store located in Santa Monica, dedicated to providing high quality grooming services and an exceptional experience for both dogs and their owners. We are looking for reliable Part-Time Receptionist to join our team of skilled, enthusiastic and customer friendly staff and help manage the flow of the salon. The right person will have a strong work ethic and will be required to work on multiple days between 8am and 5pm.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, loves dogs, and thrives in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Front Desk Receptionist.
  • Welcome clients and check dogs in and out of grooming appointments
  • Providing excellent Customer service and empathy to create a welcome environment.
  • Booking grooming appointments and balancing schedules.
  • Check in and out customers for grooming appointments.
  • Answering the telephone and dealing with customer enquiries.
  • Respond to text messages and book appointments.
  • Schedule appointments and manage booking flow.
  • Assisting other members of the team as required.
  • Selling of grooming services and products.
  • Coordinate and communicate with grooming staff throughout the day.
  • Collect grooming staffs daily worksheets.
  • Prepare information for payroll processing.
  • Follow up with clients via call backs and confirmations.
  • Fold towels and manage laundry.
  • Ensuring the reception area is kept clean and tidy.
  • Filing and customer Database maintenance.
  • Inventory ordering.

The ideal candidate will... • Have a passion for dogs and cats. • Have a strong knowledge of dog and cat breeds and familiarity of grooming. • Have experience working with dogs and cats. • Be outgoing and personable with a polite telephone manner. • Be punctual, reliable and flexible. • Have excellent communication skills. • Be computer literate with experience of the Microsoft Office Suite of programs. • Be a self starter and also be able to work as part of a team. • Be flexible with the days they can work.
