Job Summary:

Are you ready to make a difference in the community? As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting pharmacists with medication preparation and labeling. You'll be performing a variety of technical support functions under the guidance of a registered pharmacist, ensuring that our patients receive the best care possible.

Samaritan Pharmacy-Lincoln City is more than just a pharmacy; we are a community hub located next to Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital. Our doors are open to everyone, and we pride ourselves on providing essential services such as:

  • Dispensing community patient prescriptions
  • Offering immunizations
  • Providing medication management services
  • Delivering discharge medications directly to bedside

Our dedicated team of experienced pharmacists and pharmacy technicians is committed to enhancing patient care and well-being.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists in medication preparation and labeling activities.
  • Perform a broad range of technical support functions.
  • Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our patients.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preferred: Successful completion of a Medical Pharmacy Technician course.
  • Experience: Previous training or experience as a Pharmacy Technician is a plus.
  • Licensing: Oregon Pharmacy Technician license required or eligible.
  • Must obtain Oregon Certified Pharmacy Technician license within two years of hire.
  • All job offers are contingent upon passing a pre-employment drug screen.

  • Communication: Strong written and verbal skills to convey complex information effectively.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficient in using electronic equipment and software applications.
  • Customer Service: Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
  • Mathematics: Understanding of basic arithmetic and its applications.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clerical Skills: Familiarity with administrative procedures and office terminology.
