We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive FSQ Technician to join our Food Safety & Quality team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all food products meet company, customer, and regulatory quality and safety standards. The FSQ Technician will monitor production processes, perform quality testing, maintain accurate documentation, and support continuous improvement in food safety and product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with specifications.

  • Conduct environmental monitoring, swabbing, and allergen testing as per FSQ programs.

  • Support implementation and maintenance of HACCP, GMP, and other regulatory/industry food safety standards.

  • Monitor CCPs (Critical Control Points) and verify compliance with established procedures.

  • Investigate and document quality issues, deviations, or non-conformances; assist in corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

  • Maintain accurate and organized records of inspections, test results, and production documentation.

  • Assist with internal and external audits, providing required reports and evidence.

  • Train and guide production employees on FSQ procedures, hygiene, and safety practices.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, maintenance, supply chain) to address quality and safety concerns.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field preferred.

  • 1–3 years of experience in food manufacturing, quality assurance, or food safety roles.

  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, FSMA, and other food safety regulations.

  • Familiarity with laboratory testing procedures and use of quality testing equipment.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Work Environment:

  • Food production/manufacturing setting.

  • May require standing for long periods, lifting up to 30 lbs, and working in varying temperatures.

  • Flexibility to work different shifts, weekends, or overtime as required.
