Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, particularly those with dementia or memory care needs.
• Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
• Help clients with mobility issues by lifting or transferring them safely as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
• Monitor client health and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain client confidentiality at all times.
• Assist in administering medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
• Engage clients in activities that promote physical and mental well-being.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in long-term care or home health aide roles is preferred but not required.
• Ability to speak and understand English clearly is required for providing safe and effective daily care services.
• Knowledge of dementia care and memory care techniques is a plus.
• Ability to perform CPR and first aid as needed; certification is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
• Physical ability to lift clients and perform tasks that require standing for extended periods.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
