Catholic Charities of Southwest Kansas is seeking a full-time Receptionist for our Dodge City office. This position is often the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and community partners, and plays an important role in creating a welcoming, organized, and efficient office environment.


The Receptionist provides front desk coverage and general administrative support to help the office run smoothly. This includes answering and directing phone calls, greeting and assisting visitors, scheduling appointments, preparing and distributing correspondence, and maintaining organized files and records. The role also supports basic data entry, copying, scanning, and other tasks that keep office operations on track.


In addition, this position manages the Non-Food Pantry for the Dodge City office, helping ensure that clients receive needed items in a respectful and organized manner. The Receptionist works closely with staff and leadership, handles confidential information with discretion, and upholds the mission and values of Catholic Charities in all interactions.


This position is well-suited to someone who is organized, friendly, and enjoys helping people in a mission-driven environment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in an office, receptionist, administrative assistant, or customer service role preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional, welcoming, and courteous demeanor with clients, visitors, and staff.
  • Ability to handle confidential and time-sensitive information with discretion.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and follow through with minimal supervision.
  • Basic computer skills, including email, word processing, and data entry; familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Comfort answering and routing phone calls and greeting visitors in person.
  • Ability to perform routine office tasks such as filing, copying, scanning, and maintaining records.
  • Willingness to manage the Non-Food Pantry and assist with related client service tasks.
  • Commitment to the mission, values, and service philosophy of Catholic Charities of Southwest Kansas.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred (if applicable for your office).
