Join a dynamic surgical team specializing in cardiovascular care within a Level I trauma center located in Irving, TX. This travel opportunity offers the chance to work in a state-of-the-art setting with 29 operating rooms spread across two buildings, including advanced heart and hybrid rooms. Candidates with experience in open heart and endovascular surgery are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide perioperative nursing care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
- Assist in complex open heart and endovascular procedures including cases involving IABP, Impella, and ECMO support
- Collaborate closely with a team of cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons during surgeries
- Manage 2 to 10 cardiovascular cases daily in a high-acuity environment
- Ensure patient safety and adherence to sterile protocols in all cardiovascular and hybrid operating rooms
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Specialized CVOR experience with a focus on open heart and endovascular surgeries
- Proficiency in managing advanced circulatory support devices (IABP, Impella, ECMO)
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, Level I trauma center environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for collaboration across multidisciplinary teams
