Warehouse Clerk – Sterling Heights, MI

Are you an experienced warehouse clerk looking for a new place to settle down? We are looking for an experienced clerk to lead and oversee operations at our client's Pittsburgh, PA, branch. This critical role ensures efficient warehouse operations, timely shipments, inventory management, and the overall maintenance of the facility. You will assist in staff management and driving process improvements, while ensuring safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations Management: Maintain streamlined processes to ensure timely, accurate shipping and inventory management across all Premier Safety locations.
  • Logistics Coordination: Support accurate, on-time deliveries across multiple locations.
  • Team Leadership: Help manage staff and ensure adherence to proper protocols and procedures to meet company objectives.
  • Order Management: Review production schedules, customer orders, and rental/shipping requisitions to determine items to be processed for movement, storage, or shipment.
  • Inventory Oversight: Maintain accurate inventory records, adjust stock as needed, and manage the inventory of packing materials and shipping supplies.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure material transportation protocols are compliant with safety standards.
  • Facility Maintenance: Oversee building and facility upkeep, coordinating repairs and maintenance as needed to ensure a safe and efficient workplace.
  • Data Management: Utilize CRM and ERP systems to track, manage, and report inventory and shipments.
  • Staff Development: Assist with leadership in Interviewing, training, and evaluating staff.
  • Vendor Relations: Establish and manage relationships with external vendors and suppliers to ensure cost-effective support for facility maintenance, including hiring contractors for specialized tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in warehouse and facility management
  • Leadership: Strong ability to lead and manage a team, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced with ERP and CRM systems.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Ability to perform physical tasks, including climbing, kneeling, crouching, and standing for long periods.
  • Work Environment: Comfortable working in various conditions (wet, humid, high places, exposure to moving mechanical parts) while following all safety protocols.
