Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years MS RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide care in a busy medical-surgical environment. This contract role offers the opportunity to use your clinical expertise in a dynamic unit caring primarily for adult and geriatric patients, with occasional exposure to pediatric cases (not assigned to traveler staff).
Schedule/Hours:
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Occasional weekend shifts required (same hours as regular shift)
- On-call only when unit is down-staffed or when placed on call
Qualifications:
- Active RN license required
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in acute care; at least one year of travel experience recommended
- Experience in telemetry preferred
- Strong flexibility and willingness to support colleagues
- Healthcare experience is essential
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to a diverse adult and geriatric patient population on a 34-bed medical-surgical unit
- Manage a 6:1 patient ratio and provide safe, effective care
- Utilize alaris pumps, SCD machines, feeding tubes, and tele monitors effectively
- Maintain accurate records using Cerner EHR system
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to achieve positive outcomes
- Support with patient holds as needed during float assignments
- Adhere to hospital policies, clinical standards, and dress code (any color scrubs, closed-toed shoes)
