Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Construction Handyman to perform a wide range of construction, repair, and maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in carpentry and general construction, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general construction and repair tasks including:
- Framing, trim, and finish carpentry
- Drywall hanging and patching
- Painting and basic finish work
- Door, window, cabinet, and hardware installation
- Perform minor plumbing and electrical work (as allowed by license and code)
- Repair and maintain residential and light commercial structures
- Read and follow basic plans, drawings, and work orders
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and safe job site
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and customers
- Identify needed materials and report job progress or issues
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in construction or handyman work preferred
- Strong carpentry skills and general construction knowledge
- Basic understanding of plumbing and electrical systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems on site
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship
- Dependable, punctual, and professional
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
- Experience in remodeling or home building
- Ability to read blueprints
- Experience with tile, flooring, or concrete repairs
- OSHA safety training
Work Environment
- Indoor and outdoor job sites
- Physical labor in varying weather conditions
- Full-time or part-time positions available
