Location: Fremont
Temp-Hire
Pay: $25–$28/hour
We’re seeking a skilled Buyer II to join the procurement team in Fremont, CA. This temp-to-hire opportunity is ideal for someone with strong purchasing experience, vendor management skills, and the ability to interpret mechanical drawings. You’ll play a key role in sourcing materials, managing supplier relationships, and supporting production and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Place and revise purchase orders based on requisitions
• Expedite orders and resolve discrepancies
• Identify and qualify new suppliers
• Collaborate with vendors to improve delivery, quality, and cost
• Interface with Engineering and Production on BOM and fabrication drawings
• Provide input on material shortages and production schedules
Qualifications
• 2+ years of purchasing experience, preferably with capital equipment
• Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
• Proficient in Excel and ERP systems (Syspro preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical CAD drawings
• Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
