The Assembler will use a variety of hand & power tools, and follow work instructions to assembler a complete product for sale to customers. Rely on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. We have openings for day and swing shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read and understand basic blueprints, BOM, assembly drawings, and electrical schematics.
  • Interpret part drawings and precisely build them to specification.
  • Assemble raw materials using hand and power tools to make heater and Thermocouple assemblies based on written specification and verbal instructions.
  • Weld small wires and metal tubing using Tig welder under microscopic magnification.
  • Draw, anneal, cut and strip mineral insulated cable heaters and sensors.
  • Test and inspect parts and mechanism to meet tolerance and product specifications utilizing digital multi-meters, Hi-Pot tester, calipers, scales and various measurement devices.
  • Performs precision measurements and works within close tolerance.
  • Follow company written policies and instructions as well as supervisors and engineer’s verbal instructions.
  • Work with engineering to resolve defects and perform corrective actions
  • Assist in documentation and training of products that are not currently documented and related to new hires.

Competencies:

  • Must be proficient with basic assembly tools such as wrenches, screw drivers, torque tools, calipers, micrometers, wire stripers, Crimping tools and soldering irons.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; drive; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.
