Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time, contract opportunity is designed for someone passionate about guiding students with significant social, emotional, and behavioral needs, providing the consistency and compassion necessary for growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized academic instruction based on individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Implement and monitor behavior intervention plans and effective de-escalation strategies
- Foster a safe, therapeutic, and structured classroom environment
- Promote social-emotional learning and self-regulation skills in students
- Collaborate regularly with behavioral specialists, administrators, and support staff
- Maintain accurate records, contribute to goal progress, and actively participate in IEP meetings
Requirements:
- Current South Carolina Special Education certification or eligibility to obtain
- Experience in emotional disabilities, behavioral programs, or alternative educational settings is highly valued
- Exceptional classroom management and crisis intervention abilities
- Demonstrated ability to stay calm, compassionate, and student-centered in demanding situations
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills to effectively engage with students, families, and colleagues
