Bank of Billings is seeking a community banker lender with experience in accounting. You’ll be responsible for building long-term relationships with clients and educating them on our products and services. As this position is very visible, the ability to interact and work closely with customers is vital. Credit Analysts/Loan Officers should be excellent communicators, with solid knowledge of accounting and a willingness to learn and perform all duties associated with lending training and managing a loan portfolio. Customer service experience is key to success in this role. The ideal candidate possesses strong problem-solving skills, a willingness to assume additional responsibilities, duties or projects as they arise, and a desire to work with the public.

Responsibilities Including but not Limited to:

· Comply with all regulations and requirements that are applicable to banking

· Ability to work closely with loan processing staff

· Perform duties as a Lending Trainee to eventually evolve into managing a loan portfolio

· Meet with customers to obtain information for loan applications and answer questions about the process and types of loans and credit options that are available in addition to terms of those services.

· Analyze personal financial statements, tax returns and credit reports of individuals and preparation of Global Cash Flow analysis

· Analyze applicants’ financial status, credit and collateral to determine feasibility of granting loans

· Analize business financials and tax returns

· Draft loan applications and approval forms; prepare documentation for loan processing

· Assist in gathering client financials and other required information

· Organizes and updates client credit files

· Prepare correspondence and reports

· Maintain compliance with all Bank policies and procedures

· Other duties as assigned by Bank officers

Requirements

· Accounting courses/and or experience required

· Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures

· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business practices and cash flows

· Ability to work diligently to meet deadlines

· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and professional peers.

· Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field preferred

· Excellent verbal and written communication, complimented by strong interpersonal skills

· Demonstrate good managerial skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.

· Must have excellent judgment skills and a thorough working knowledge of all essential functions.
