Are you ready to serve and protect a vibrant, growing community? The City of South Jordan is seeking a Full-Time Police Officer to join the South Jordan Police Department.
What You'll Do:
- Patrol all areas of South Jordan to deter crime and assist the public.
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, secure crime scenes, conduct investigations, and make arrests when laws are violated.
- Enforce traffic laws, conduct DUI and accident investigations, and assist motorists.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports and testify in court when required.
- Serve legal documents and maintain records of legal dispositions.
- Maintain issued equipment, including firearms and patrol vehicles.
- Represent the department positively, through ongoing community policing efforts.
Who You Are:
- High school graduate or equivalent (GED).
- Certified as a Special Function Officer (SFO) or currently enrolled in a certified academy.
- Valid Utah Class D driver license.
- Skilled in handling high-pressure situations with integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment.
- Strong communicator with a commitment to responsible service.
