Position Summary of the Receiving Clerk Role at Altek Electronics:
Responsible for receiving materials procured by Altek Electronics.
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Receiving Clerk are described below, other duties may be assigned:
- Receive purchased parts, assemblies, accessories, and materials in a timely manner.
- Examine items for defects in materials, work, and damage occurring in transit.
- Compare quantity and part number of items received with procurement data and other specifications to ensure completeness and accuracy of order.
- Confirm required paperwork has been submitted with shipment or electronically
- Maintain quality records including inspection reports, etc.
- Document shipping issues, working with Purchasing and Quality Engineering
- Determine conformance to work instructions, IPC or J-STD standards, and internal Quality/workmanship standards
- Create Non Conforming Materials Reports when required
- Distribute chemicals to manufacturing areas
- Support with the resolution of quality problems
- Actively participate in quality initiatives by participating in problem solving, process improvements and performance measurements.
- Responsible for understanding & following company, and or manufacturing guidelines/procedures
- Confer and correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications.
- Requisition and store receiving and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
- Responsible for following established safety rules & 6S
Knowledge and Skills Required to be the Receiving Clerk at Altek
- Professional communication skills
- Ability to read & understand assembly prints
- Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma / Ged or equivalent work experience in a related area.
- Work experience in the applicable area is preferred.
Working Conditions
- Work involves lifting materials and product up to 75 pounds.
