Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with severe special education needs.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
- Provide direct instruction and support to a high school caseload of four students, including one-on-one assistance.
- Utilize appropriate teaching strategies to accommodate varying learning styles and abilities.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and adapt materials as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field; Masters degree preferred.
- Valid state certification or licensure in Special Education.
- Previous experience working with middle and high school-aged students, particularly with severe disabilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to implement IEPs and monitor student progress.
