Paramedic – Emergency Department (ED)

📍 Marinette, WI 54143

Facility: Level III Trauma Center | 99 Beds

Unit: 17-Bed Emergency Department

Vaccination: COVID vaccine required

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Paramedic to support a fast-paced Emergency Department serving patients from neonates to geriatrics. Work alongside a collaborative, tight-knit team in a rural hospital with its own ambulance service.

General Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred
• First-Time Travelers: Considered upon review
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
• On-Call: Not required
• Floating: None
• Orientation: At least one shift on the unit

Patient Population

• All patient types across the lifespan
• Trauma and emergency cases in a Level III Trauma Center

• Required Certifications

  ✅ BLS

  ✅ ACLS

  ✅ PALS

  ✅ Active Wisconsin Paramedic License

  (Michigan license not required but must be in the application process, per manager.)

  De-escalation certification not required.

  
  

  Key Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency care and assist with trauma cases
  • Support RNs and physicians with patient treatment
  • Perform clinical procedures within paramedic scope
  • Assist in the ED when not responding to ambulance calls

• Unit Support & Environment

  • Respiratory Therapist & Hospitalist onsite 24/7
  • Resource nurse available
  • Bedside and central telemetry monitoring
  • RNs handle blood draws
  • Charge nurse takes assignments on night shift

• Technology

  • EMR: Epic
  • IV Pumps: Alaris
  • Medication Dispensing: Pyxis
