Expand your professional journey by working on a dynamic Oncology Med/Tele Unit, handling cases ranging from osteomyelitis and chemo to sepsis and TRAM. In this role, you will sharpen your med surg and telemetry nursing skills while collaborating with teams employing a range of leadership styles and innovative care practices. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your resume with experience in both acute and specialized oncology care, all while developing adaptability and resilience through exposure to diverse patient needs and clinical challenges.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour DAY shifts: 3AM–3PM
  • 36 or 48 hours per week available
  • Expect 1 weekend shift per week or 2 every other weekend
  • Must work at least 1 holiday during the contract
  • 16-week contract commitment
  • Flexibility required; block scheduling is not available

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current RN license and BLS certification
  • Minimum 1 year of recent acute med surgical/telemetry RN experience (2 years of U.S. RN work experience required for non-U.S. candidates)
  • Preferred: 2 years of recent, relevant experience
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to float to other units as needed
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from Penfield

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and monitor chemotherapy, manage complex oncology/medical cases
  • Provide holistic care and patient/family education
  • Monitor and respond to changes in patient status promptly
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams
  • Adhere to strict safety and infection control practices
