Primary purpose: Install countertops and related materials according to Franklin Building Supply standards.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safety & Quality: Prioritize safety and quality throughout the installation process.
  • Professional: Provide clear, respectful communication with customers and other trades always, representing FBS positively throughout the process. This includes demeanor, attire, and attitude.
  • Standards: Proficiently execute installation of materials provided by job documents, specs, and instructions, utilizing required equipment properly and safely, avoiding damage to cabinets, appliances, and materials.
  • Job fulfillment: Verify job is complete, all material is accounted for, including sinks, support bracket,s and protectant at time of loading prior to leaving the facility.
  • Jobsite Respect: Keep tooling and materials organized and stored safely. Cleanup all debris and packaging throughout the workday, leaving the site neat, safe, and ready for continual work effectively.
  • Communication: Effectively and clearly report any job site issues, installation delays, restrictions creating incomplete installation to pm and the department manager in a timely manner.
  • Reports & Documentation: complete all job documents, photos, and reports accurately and according to the sop. ·
  • Accuracy: Ensure countertops fit precisely and are securely anchored, utilizing the proper adhesives, sealants, caulk, and brackets. Performing minor adjustments or repairs when necessary.
  • Tooling: Operate hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment accurately and safely. Properly maintain, respect, and store all equipment.
  • Environmental Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle, including trailer and inventory of needed tools, supplies, or equipment.
  • Collaborate: Work with other crew members or subcontractors, actively communicating and addressing discrepancies, special conditions, and concerns that may impact job installation or completion.
  • Feedback: Solicit and accept feedback from peers, other department leaders, and management. This includes processes such as template and manufacturing.
  • Problem Solve: Demonstrate the ability to solve problems with minimal supervision and exhibit good judgment with decision-making skills.
  • Positive Attitude: Maintain a positive attitude, contributing to a positive work environment.
  • Goal Setting: Effectively set and achieve goals, demonstrating a proactive and goal-oriented mindset.
  • Strategic Thinking: Analyze situations thoroughly, develop clear and effective plans, and identify innovative solutions while proactively foreseeing future challenges and opportunities.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Stone fabrication/manufacturing processes and tooling, cabinetry
  • Quality Control: Thorough and dedicated to clean, accurate, and high-standard completed finished product
  • Software Proficiency: Digital templating software (LPI Raptor, etc)
  • Equipment: Understanding techniques for properly and safely using tooling (grinders, routers, jigsaws, circular saws, caulking guns)
  • Understanding: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, speed labels identifiers
  • Problem Solving Skills: Demonstrate ability to solve problems with minimal supervision
  • Tooling: Proficient in reading a tape measure
  • File Management: Ability to document and job site photos organized and placed efficiently.
  • Correspondence: Aptitude to clearly and effectively communicate within other areas of the process. (programmers, shop foremen, sales, and project managers)
  • Work Habits: Self-motivated, consistent, reliable, dependable.
  • Versatility: Open to continuous improvements, techniques, tooling, equipment, and products
  • License: Valid current Driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Customer Service: Communication, demeanor, attire, and attitude representing Franklin Building Supply in a clear, skilled, and respectful manner.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift a minimum of 75lbs.

Qualifications and Skills Preferred:

  • Familiarity: 2+ years working with natural and engineered stone materials
  • Safety: knowledge of safety protocols in all aspects of countertop manufacturing and installation
  • Pressure Handling: Thrive under pressure and juggle multiple tasks with finesse
  • Construction Background: background in residential and commercial, new or remodel construction
