Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a Media Editor to join our content team, focusing on high-level editing and motion graphics for instructional and corporate video content captured by our Videographer. Your primary responsibility will be transforming clearly logged raw footage into polished, high-quality media that aligns with our established visual standards—while elevating content through thoughtful, clean motion graphics.
This role requires strong motion graphics capability or a highly self-driven learner who can rapidly build advanced proficiency. Motion graphics are not an afterthought in this position—they are a critical component of our final deliverables.
You will work within clear creative guidelines and established workflows, focusing on accuracy, efficiency, and consistency. This role is ideal for someone who is technically skilled, detail-oriented, and confident building animated elements that enhance clarity and professionalism.
If you thrive in a clearly defined role but bring strong visual execution skills—especially in motion graphics—this position is for you.
Key Responsibilities
· Edit raw video footage into polished final products that meet established corporate or educational visual standards
· Design and implement motion graphics elements including animated lower thirds, title sequences, callouts, diagrams, and slide enhancements
· Create clean, brand-aligned animated graphics that elevate instructional clarity
· Modify and adapt After Effects templates as needed to support module consistency
· Sync audio, apply color correction, and ensure clean sound quality
· Insert graphics, slide overlays, and other visual assets as required
· Organize project files and maintain clean, logical editing workflows
· Export and package final media files according to company specifications
· Collaborate with the Videographer to clarify footage notes and ensure smooth transitions from capture to edit
· Manage multiple modules at a time (typically 2 concurrently), with a goal of completing one module every 1–2 weeks
Workload & Process
Editing & Motion Graphics
- The majority of your time will be spent editing captured footage and building motion graphics elements that enhance clarity, professionalism, and visual engagement.
File Management & Quality Control
- Organizing project files, reviewing exports, maintaining naming conventions, and ensuring clean, consistent deliverables.
Revisions & Admin Support
- Implementing feedback from the Content Team Manager or Media Producer and performing minor adjustments or quick fixes on existing content.
Required Qualifications
· 2+ years of professional video editing experience
· Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
· Proficiency in Adobe After Effects (or comparable motion graphics software)
· Demonstrated experience creating motion graphics from scratch (not just using templates)
· Working knowledge of color correction and audio balancing
· Strong organizational skills in managing large video files and structured workflows
· Ability to follow visual templates and style guides consistently
· Strong attention to detail and deadline management
· A work style and attitude aligning with our Core Values
Candidates must either demonstrate strong existing motion graphics experience or provide evidence of rapid, self-driven skill development in motion design.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience editing instructional, educational, or corporate training content
· Familiarity with Dropbox and SharePoint file systems
· Experience collaborating with videographers in structured production workflows
· Ability to troubleshoot minor technical post-production issues independently
Team & Collaboration:
Mentorship: Work closely with our current Media Producer, who will mentor you and support your integration into our editing workflows and quality standards.
Reporting: Report directly to the Content Team Manager, participating in regular 1:1 meetings and receiving structured feedback and guidance.
Collaboration: Partner closely with the Videographer to ensure smooth handoff of footage and alignment on technical standards.
