- Setting: Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) Rehab Division — inpatient occupational therapy\n
- Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel OT, Travel Occupational Therapist)\n
- Duration: 13 weeks (Start: May 1, 2026 • End: June 30, 2026)\n
- Shift: Day shift, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (8-hour days)\n
- Hours per Week: 40\n
- Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend per month\n
- Float Requirement: Yes – float between Northlake and Chicago North campuses\n
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,920 – $2,060 (competitive travel OT pay)\n
\n\nJob Requirements (Occupational Therapist / OT)\n
- \n
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Illinois required\n
- Minimum 1 year of OT experience treating adult patients in inpatient settings\n
- Preferred experience in LTACH, ICU, or medical/surgical (med/surg) rehab\n
- Comfortable treating complex diagnoses: respiratory failure, tracheostomy care, ventilator dependency, high-flow O2, wounds, TBI, stroke, burns\n
- Proficiency with mobility and assistive devices (Hoyer lifts, Sara Plus, Hi/Low mat tables, stairs, NuStep)\n
- Familiarity with EHR systems (Protouch, Net Health preferred)\n
- Professional appearance: grey scrubs required; no artificial nails or open-toed shoes\n
- Ability to float between campuses and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (nurses, RTs, physicians, case managers)\n
\n\nKey Responsibilities — Inpatient Occupational Therapy (LTACH)\n
- \n
- Provide occupational therapy evaluations and treatments in an LTACH rehab setting (average ~12 treatments and ~2 evaluations per day)\n
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on functional independence, ADLs, mobility training, cognitive and neuromuscular recovery\n
- Manage care for adult patients with ventilator support, tracheostomies, high-flow oxygen, complex wounds, TBI, stroke, and other medically complex conditions\n
- Use Hoyer lifts, Sara Plus, NuStep, Hi/Low mat tables, and stairs to facilitate safe transfers and mobility\n
- Document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge recommendations accurately in the EHR\n
- Coordinate care and communicate treatment plans with interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered LTACH rehabilitation\n
- Float between Northlake and Chicago North campuses as needed to meet patient care needs\n
