Tax Associate

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Associate to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various tax-related tasks, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and providing expert advice on tax strategies for our clients. This position aims to optimize tax liabilities and enhance financial efficiency within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and S-corporations.
  • Conduct tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Assist clients with tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
  • Review and analyze financial statements and tax documents to identify potential tax issues.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial data for tax reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification preferred or progress toward certifications.
  • Proven experience in public accounting or as a tax associate.
  • Strong knowledge of Partnership Tax (1065), Corporation Tax (1120), and Individual Tax Returns (1040).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly and effectively.
