Why This Role Matters

A rapidly growing company in the retail and firearms industry is seeking an experienced SEC Compliance & Financial Reporting Manager to lead its public company reporting efforts. As the organization expands its market presence and navigates an evolving regulatory landscape, this role is critical to ensuring accurate, timely, and transparent financial disclosures that build investor confidence and support strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file SEC reports including 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, and other required disclosures in accordance with GAAP and SEC regulations.

  • Collaborate with internal finance, legal, and executive teams to gather and validate financial data for public filings.

  • Ensure accurate XBRL tagging aligned with current taxonomy standards.

  • Monitor and implement updates from FASB, SEC, and PCAOB to maintain compliance with evolving standards.

  • Support quarterly earnings release processes, including drafting MD&A, earnings call materials, and investor communications.

  • Assist with SOX compliance, internal controls documentation, and audit coordination.

Qualifications

  • 4–7 years of experience in financial reporting with a strong emphasis on SEC compliance (public company or Big 4 background preferred).

  • CPA certification highly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations, XBRL, and financial disclosure requirements.

  • Excellent writing and communication skills with the ability to simplify complex financial information for investor audiences.

  • Highly detail-oriented and deadline-driven, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Bonus: Experience in eCommerce, retail, or inventory-based businesses is a plus.

Pay Details: $130,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
