• 2nd (Mon-Fri 8:00pm – 6:00am)
• Approximately 40-48+ hours/week
• Weekends and Over-Time Pending Production Needs

Compensation:

• $20/hr - $30/hr (Pending Experience & Interview)
• Weekly Pay
• Over Time (1.5x): After 40 hrs/wk

We are seeking a skilled Cold Header Operator to become an integral part of our Waterford, MI team, contributing to our legacy of engineering excellence and commitment to quality. Job Description:

• Set up and operate multi-die cold heading machines, including National FXP and Lean Formax 5 & 6 die headers.
• Read and interpret set-up blueprints to ensure accurate machine configurations.
• Perform hourly measurements using various gauges to verify product dimensions.
• Participate in pit-crew style set-ups, working alongside another operator to reduce downtime.
• Execute operator preventative maintenance and support maintenance-driven PM events to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Provide valuable feedback to the Tooling and Engineering teams to improve process efficiencies.
• Collaborate with the Materials and Maintenance departments to maintain seamless production flow.
• Follow all safety protocols, 6S, and OSHA requirements to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• All supplemental duties, responsibilities, or non-essential requirements as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of Cold Header operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and using precision measuring instruments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues.
• Experience performing routine machine maintenance.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand and work 10-hour shifts, Monday – Saturday, as required, lifting up to 50 lbs. periodically, bending, twisting, squatting, and exerting force while making machine adjustments.
• Punctuality, positivity, team player attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, non-air conditioned environment
• Must be willing to submit to background check and drug screening
• Must own a pair of steel toed boots or steel toed shoes
