Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years ER RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity requires a Registered Nurse with Emergency Room expertise, experienced in fast-paced, multitasking environments. The assignment is located in the peaceful area of Paauilo, HI, and is a contract position at a skilled hospital and nursing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care, independently managing multiple critical tasks.
• Perform specialized procedures aligned with stroke, STEMI, and trauma activations.
• Utilize equipment including Meditech EMR, Life Pack Defibrillators, Braun IV pumps, Philips Monitoring Systems, and Motorola radios.
• Adhere to core clinical measures and National Patient Safety Goals.
• Employ effective patient communication techniques such as AIDET to enhance patient experience.

Qualifications and Experience:

• More than 2 years of ER nursing experience with proficient IV skills.
• Knowledge of Stroke, STEMI, Trauma protocols, and customer service standards.
• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, TNCC, BLS, NIHSS.
• Additional certifications like NCI and Procedural Sedation are preferred but not mandatory.
• Must hold an active Hawaii nursing license at the start of the assignment. Candidates must apply immediately if they do not already hold this license.
• Availability for a health appointment the Thursday before the assignment start date is mandatory.

Schedule & Work Environment:

• Variable shifts, including 8- or 12-hour shifts totaling 80 hours per two-week period.
• One on-call shift per roster; weekends scheduled to allow at least one day off.
• Floating responsibilities based on clinical skill set and nursing administrations discretion.
