Job DescriptionMS-IL Staffing & Packaging and its local client are NOW HIRING Equipment Operators in the Indianapolis, Indiana, area!Pay rate: $19.00 / hour Shift: 2nd shift, Monday to Friday, 4PM to 12:30AMJob Summary:The Case Picker / Cherry Picker Material Handler plays a key role in our Distribution Center operations at Lakeside Book Company (formerly LSC Communications). This position is responsible for loading and unloading trailers, case picking, and operating material handling equipment including cherry pickers and sit-down forklifts. The role requires heavy lifting (50 lbs. or more) and close coordination with RCV to ensure accurate paperwork and smooth inbound and outbound operations. During slower periods, the associate may assist with additional warehouse duties such as pallet organization, facility cleaning, and order picking to support overall workflow.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Select books from shelf and place in boxes
- Work in a team environment and cross-train with others
Physical Requirements:
- Ability work with minimium supervision
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift and carry 20 to 50 lbs.
- Previous warehouse experience is a plus
- Ability to stand for the entire duration of your shift
- Use a handheld scanner
