Volt is immediately hiring Lab Technician/Technologist III in Maplewood, Minnesota with a well-known industry leader.
In this role you will lead or support the development of protype product testing and pilot line trials to guide decisions on materials and constructions for the electric vehicle divisions.
This is a first shift position.
As a Lab Technician III you will:
- Closely interact with scientists as a team to carryout experiments and testing
- Document observations and results in technical notebooks. Assisting in data summarization and preparation of final reports.
- Coordinate equipment calibrations to ensure accurate calculations of test data.
- Perform routine lab duties, including shipping and storing of samples.
- Operate equipment in pilot line facilities.
This is a full-time contingent opportunity
Estimated Duration 24+ months
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a laboratory setting within a private, public, government or military environment.
- Able to accept projects from multiple team members, prioritize, and complete with little supervision.
- Work well in a team environment and able to handle changing project priorities.
- Experience with adhesives and tapes
- Experience working on a cross-functional team.
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred
Pay Rate: $29.00 per hour
